Business analyst (IT Project)

Position Title : Business analyst (IT Project)
Job type : Temporary 6-12 months (renewable + possibility of client permanence)

Position of immediate supervisor: Management of the IT project office

Position Summary

You will be responsible for ensuring that the tools and systems developed IT systems meet the needs of the sectors. YOU document the scope of projects, their objectives and benefits expected. You will represent the business units within the framework of projects and assist project coordinators in carrying out of the latter.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Analyze the business needs of the sectors, identify the opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to to optimize and evolve business processes and the organization of work;
  • Document business processes and rules. Can accompany users in the writing of procedures, as an expert. During calls for tenders, drafts customer requirements;
  • Ensure the management, analysis and prioritization of requests of service and supports users in the preparation of their requests. Organize and lead workshops with users to identify their needs;
  • Prepare detailed needs analysis and participate in identification of deliverables. Performs analysis of profitability and participates in risk analysis;
  • Master and apply the operational models of the functions company within the framework of project and improvement activities keep on going. Develops the testing strategy and use cases. Leads the testing team during implementation;
  • Liaise between the development team and the users during all phases of the cycle development. Assists the project coordinator in monitoring different projects and in the identification of problems and the looking for solutions;
  • Monitor products and best practices. Builds and maintains close business relationships with partners business and suppliers;
  • Support the change management team in the implementation of the different activities. Ensure knowledge transfer from users;
  • Participate in any project where expertise is required.

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, information systems option or the equivalent;
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certificate;
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of computerized systems and processing and experience in operating databases computerized and report generators;
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written French;
  • Advanced knowledge of software required in the role.
  • Ability to reconcile divergent interests (IT vs users) and independence of point of view;
  • Strong capacity for analysis, synthesis and resolution of problems;
  • Strong customer orientation;
  • Strong relational skills and ease of adaptation;
  • Very good communication and influence skills;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
