Position Title : Senior embedded software developer
Job type : Permanent
Size of the company : Between 100 and 500 employees
Industry : Manufacture of electrical components for the transport industry
Location : Metropolitan Montreal region

Position Summary

As an active member of the engineering and development team products, you work in collaboration with the teams of product development. You participate in the validation and the implementation of new functionalities in the systems.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Structuring software design work with those in charge team to deliver products.
  • Knowledge and application of Agile management methods software activities within his team.
  • Ensure an effective two-way communication channel between your manager and team members.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the resources necessary to the accomplishment of projects, in collaboration with project managers.
  • Analyze, design, develop and code test software in accordance with company methodologies and standards.
  • Contribute to the development and formal testing phases of the production cycle software development life.
  • Write software requirements as well as documentation design.
  • Participate and provide support in resolution exercises quality problems.
  • Participate in the review of the work carried out by all of the team.
  • Participate in the writing/review of development processes software.
  • Represent the company as a technical expert during meeting with customers.

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in software analysis.
  • Mastery of Agile methodology.
  • Ability to communicate and work in a matrix environment international and cross-functional.
  • Good knowledge of C/C++ embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of C#, Python (asset).
  • Knowledge of several software design tools.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Curious and autonomous.
  • Rigorous and respectful of deadlines.
  • Bilingualism, French and English, (spoken and written).
